Devotional : When You Feel Mentally Overwhelmed

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” – 1 Peter 5:7

Some days the mental load feels heavier than everything else. The schedules, the responsibilities, the constant thinking—it adds up fast.

It’s easy to carry it all quietly, pushing through because that’s just what needs to be done.

But God never asked you to carry it alone.

He invites you to hand it over. Not when everything is calm—but right in the middle of the chaos. In the middle of work stress, deadlines, laundry, school runs, meal time, etc.

Even a small moment of surrender can shift your entire day.

If you journal, take a moment to write down what’s stressing you and allow that to be the moment that you let it go and give it to Him. I also invite you, in this moment, to physically pause and pray over it.

Prayer:
"Lord, You know everything on my mind today. Help me release the stress and worries, and cast them onto You. I ask for your peace to overcome me when I feel overwhelmed. Thank you for all that you do! In Jesus Name, Amen."
